Minimoon

The Hubs and I decided to take a lil minmoon and make it a romantic weekend getaway. Dude, we deserve it! Lester went to work on the same day we got married. Say whaaaat?! Yea, we got married in the morning, went to go have brunch, got home, rested for an hour or two and off to work his grave yard shift. So yea, I didn’t get lucky that night. I, of course, worked the next day. We definitely deserve alone time. We had our eye out for Seattle, but Lester was being a lil biotch and wanted to stay at an expensive hotel. The damn hotel was all booked for the only dates we could go. Seattle was out of the picture when Lester found out. Our second choice was San Francisco. It’s only 6 hours away from LA and could save money by driving there. I went to priceline.com to do the name your price deal. And we scored a sweet ass hotel. The only shitty thing about it, is that its 30 min. away from Downtown and the Golden Gate Bridge. We are staying at the Hyatt Regency San Francisco Airport Hotel. Suhweet!! I’m super excited! Now all Lester has to do is come up with an Itinerary. Finally. Alone. Time. So I’ll be whoreing it up! Aye chi wa wa!!

Life so far....

So I just noticed that it has been almost 2 months since I last blogged. I just haven’t been in the mood to write. There have been issues in my life where I just wished they would hurry and get here. Numbero uno, my career! I haven’t managed to get a teaching job here in California, too long of a story to explain. My husband and I still live at home with my parents. I love being with my mom, but come on… I’m married and I still live at home! I desperately need a teaching job. It’s our ticket to a new life together. We get the chance to move back to Texas. We get to have our own place together. Lester gets to go back to school. We can finally start saving up for our Wedding. And we can FINALLY start having kids. I just get so stressed and depressed because I’m stuck. I’m sick of it. But I guess I just want to move so fast that I need to stop and enjoy what I have now. I need to be optimistic rather than pessimistic. So while my life is on hold, I get to enjoy watching other people’s lives for instance my sisters. On my previous blog I had a little contest on baby shower invites and the onsies card won.

Thank you

I wanted to write this post to say thank you again for all the warm wishes and congratulations to Lester and I. This is just the beginning of our lives. We are very pleased to be blessed with family and friends that have given us much love and support in the decision we have made. It does not end here...like they say... it’s not official/real until you get married at church. That’s the route we plan to take. Although my last name has changed and legally we are married... the uniting of our souls, making it right before God is what is most important. We are still having a wedding! Thanks again for everything! Love you guys!

Beautiful flowers that were sent from my bestest neighbor ever, Tym!!! Thanks We love them! And the babie aint due intil a couple more years from now lol FYI the card that came with the flowers said “Congratulations, when is the baby due?” (inside joke) Don't want people getting the wrong idea :)

For meh?

I was surprised to see an envelope and confetti all over my desk at work yesterday morning. Hhmmm, it’s not my birthday. Oh no they didn’t!! The envelope read Priscilla & Lester. It was a beautiful greeting card wishing both of us a happy marriage. The card was filled with nice comments written by my co-workers. It even came with a gift card!! I was shocked and surprised. I didn’t even see it coming. Thanks guys!!

Am I dreaming....

I still can't believe that we're married. I'm experiencing new changes; having a husband, being a wife, my new last name, my facebook and myspace status

And I get to wear this baby
